ABOUT US
EcoValley Honey
EcoValley Honey is a small family-run beekeeping business based in Esperance, Western Australia. What began as a simple hobby with a single hive has grown into a thriving business built on a love of bees, sustainable beekeeping, and the production of high-quality raw honey.
For us, beekeeping is about much more than honey. We are passionate advocates for bee conservation and believe everyone can play a part in supporting these essential pollinators. Whether it's avoiding harmful pesticides, planting bee-friendly gardens, or providing fresh water sources, small actions can make a big difference for local bee populations.
Honey the Way Nature Intended
Our bees work hard to create exceptional honey from the diverse native flora found throughout the Esperance region. That's why we treat their honey with the respect it deserves.
EcoValley Honey is never heat-treated and is only minimally strained to preserve its natural goodness. Each jar contains the beneficial elements naturally found in raw honey, including pollen, propolis, and occasionally a little beeswax. Because we harvest in small batches throughout the season, every batch has its own unique flavour, aroma, and colour—just like a fingerprint, no two are exactly alike.
Our Story
The EcoValley Honey journey started with a single hive and a growing fascination with bees. As family and friends continued to rave about the quality of our honey, what began as a hobby gradually evolved into a business.
Established in 2018, EcoValley Honey has grown steadily thanks to customers who appreciate its authentic, locally produced honey. Today, we continue to focus on quality over quantity, producing small-batch honey while maintaining our commitment to bee welfare and sustainable practices.
Meet the Team
Winton – Beekeeper
Winton is the driving force behind EcoValley Honey and the person responsible for caring for the bees. His passion for beekeeping began after discovering a swarm on his property. When an experienced beekeeper visited and pointed to the swarm, saying, "There's your first hive," a lifelong interest was born.
Over the years, that interest developed into a genuine passion for bee conservation and sustainable beekeeping. During spring, Winton often rescues and rehomes swarms throughout the Esperance region, helping protect bees while reducing the need for extermination.
Tina – Processing & Marketing
Tina manages honey processing, marketing, local markets, and customer engagement. She loves meeting members of the community and sharing her enthusiasm for bees and raw honey.
Despite having a mild allergy to bee stings, Tina remains a passionate advocate for pollinator conservation. Her dedication to helping bees extends beyond the business, and she's often encouraging others to create bee-friendly environments at home.
Our Commitment to Bee Health
At EcoValley Honey, we believe healthy bees are the foundation of healthy ecosystems. We support beekeeping practices that prioritise bee welfare, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability.
By maintaining our hives locally and focusing on responsible management, we aim to minimise stress on our colonies while producing honey that reflects the unique landscape of Esperance.
100% Raw Honey, Straight From the Farm
